Income tax returns for business owners

Do you run a sole proprietorship, known as an eenmanszaak, or are you a partner in a vof? Your business and personal circumstances come together in your Dutch income tax return. I prepare the return and make sure the information fits together.

You can also contact me if you have a job alongside your business, have recently started trading or have made a loss.

Business and personal information in one return

I include your business results and review expenses, investments, depreciation and any tax adjustments. I also assess which business tax allowances and rules apply to you.

I take your personal circumstances into account too, including other income, your home, deductions and assets. If you have a tax partner, we discuss which information is needed and whether it makes sense to prepare both returns together.

What if your figures are not ready?

A reliable return needs reliable annual figures. If your figures are ready, I use them as a starting point and check how they connect to the return. If your bookkeeping needs updating or annual accounts still need preparing, we agree on the additional work first.

You do not need to finish all your bookkeeping before getting in touch.

Understand the outcome

I explain the return and the amount you are expected to pay or receive back. I submit it once you have approved it.

Tell me what type of business you run, which tax year is involved and how up to date your records are. I will explain the approach and costs before starting.
